Patriot Award to be presented tomorrow at 10 a.m. to senior Pa. Turnpike Commission officials
HARRISBURG, PA (08/13/2007; 0950)(readMedia)-- The five Pennsylvania Turnpike Commissioners, along with its CEO, will be honored on Tuesday, Aug. 14 for outstanding support of Turnpike employees who are National Guard or Reserve members. Turnpike leaders will be presented with a Patriot Award for supporting employee participation in America’s National Guard and Reserve forces.
The awards will be presented tomorrow morning by the Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) — a Department of Defense agency whose mission is to gain and maintain active support from all public and private employers for the men and women of the National Guard and Reserve.
The 10 a.m. presentation ceremony will take place at the Turnpike headquarters building, 700 S. Eisenhower Blvd., Harrisburg.
Patriot Award plaques will be given to Turnpike CEO Joe Brimmeier, Turnpike Commission Chairman Mitchell Rubin, Vice Chairman Timothy J. Carson, Secretary-Treasurer J. William Lincoln, Commissioner Pasquale T. Deon Sr. and State Transportation Secretary Allen D. Biehler.
