Iowa Hampshire Hog Producers Win State Fair Titles
DES MOINES, IA (08/22/2008; 1712)(readMedia)-- Thirty-one exhibitors from three states battled for top honors in the Hampshire Swine Show judged Thursday, August 14, at the 2008 Iowa State Fair.
The 9 month old boar owned by Ron and Marcia Iverson of Grinnell won the Champion title and DCM Hamps and Durocs of Marion claimed the Reserve Champion Boar honors.
Leroy Steffensmeier of Fort Madison claimed the Champion Gilt title while Lettow Show Pigs of Woodward won Reserve Champion Gilt honors.
Steffensmeier also won the Hampshire Premier Exhibitor crown.
