LABOR DEPARTMENT TO SPONSOR JOB FAIR FOR VETERANS IN ALBANY

ALBANY, NY (11/12/2008; 1350)(readMedia)-- State Labor Commissioner M. Patricia Smith and invited guests will be holding an opening ceremony in Albany to commemorate the Operation Hire: Veterans Career Fair on Thursday, November 13. The job fair is designed for veterans and their immediate family members to explore career opportunities with Capital Region employers. More than 30 employers will be participating in the event, including Blue Shield of Northeastern NY, CDPHP, Computer Science Corporation, CSX Transportation, FedEx Ground, General Electric Energy, IBM, Time Warner Cable and Mohawk Fine Papers. In addition, workshops on veterans' services will be held throughout the day.
