MINNESOTA BREEDERS TOP IOWA STATE FAIR SUFFOLK SHEEP SHOW

DES MOINES, IA (09/11/2008; 1347)(readMedia)-- Tom Burke Suffolks of Platte City, Mo. Earned the Grand Champion Ewe and Reserve Grand Champion Ram banner as well as first place in the Premier exhibitor contest in the Suffolk Sheep Show August 16 at the 2008 Iowa State Fair.

Benda Suffolks of Jackson, Minn. exhibited the Grand Champion Ram.

Jere Rambow Family of Litchfield, Minn. won the Reserve Grand Champion Ewe honors.

Lansing Suffolks of Ossian took second place in the Premier Exhibitor competition. Third place was awarded to Wayne Skartvedt of Radcliffe. The Premier Exhibitor award is given to the exhibitor who scores the most points based upon the class placements during the breed's show.
