MOSCOW YOUTH EXHIBITS 4-H CHAMPION LIVE PERFORMANCE LAMB AT STATE FAIR

DES MOINES, IA (09/11/2008; 1409)(readMedia)-- Dillion Maxwell, Moscow exhibited the Grand Champion lamb in the 4-H Performance Lamb Show August 11, at the 2008 Iowa State Fair.

Chelsea Schminke, Van Horne, earned the Reserve Grand Champion Performance Lamb banner.

While the 4-H program awards ribbons for visual appraisal, the final results include tabulation of the live placing, rate of gain and carcass merit. Awards for the overall placings will be made at the State Fair/Sale of Champions carcass viewing program.

Division winners in the 4-H Performance Lamb Show included:

Division 1 Light Weight Champion - Mitchell Hoefling, Merrill

Division 1 Light Weight Reserve Champion - Elijah Sullivan, Dunlap

Division 2 Medium Weight Champion - Chelsea Schminke, Van Horne

Division 2 Medium Weight Reserve Champion - Chase Maxwell, Moscow

Division 3 Heavy Weight Champion - Dillon Maxwell, Moscow

Division 3 Heavy Weight Reserve Champion - Tanner Berry, Sac City
