Maintenance Work to Necessitate Interchange 4 Northbound Ramp Closure

ALBANY, NY (09/11/2007; 1520)(readMedia)-- The New York State Thruway Authority today announced that the northbound Interchange 4 (Yonkers, Cross County Parkway) ramp will be closed overnight beginning on Wednesday, September 12, in order to perform maintenance work, weather permitting.

The closure will be in place Wednesday, September 12, from 11:30 p.m. until 5:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 13, to perform preparation work for the installation of an impact attenuation system on the ramp.

In order to access the Cross County Parkway, motorists will be directed to follow a posted detour from Interchange 3 (Yonkers, Mile Square Rd.) on I-87 to Central Park Avenue to the Cross County Parkway.

Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) and Highway Advisory Radio (HAR) 530 AM will be activated to inform motorists of the closure. Motorists are reminded to remain alert and aware of their surroundings while traveling through all work zones.
