ALBANY, NY (02/20/2008; 1132)(readMedia)-- New York State Agriculture Commissioner Patrick Hooker will announce $13 million for 46 projects across the State will help farmers protect New York’s lakes, streams and rivers from agricultural runoff. The funding is available through the New York State Agricultural Non-point Source Abatement and Control Program, which awards cost-share funding to county Soil and Water Conservation Districts to address water quality challenges facing farms around the State.
The announcement will take place at the New York Farm Show, which is held at the New York State Fairgrounds, February 21-23. The Farm Show is the Northeast’s premier indoor farm show event that features 425 exhibitors with equipment, services and products for every agricultural operation. New this year will be a Dairy Robotonomics’ seminar.
