Media Advisory - Commissioner to Announce $300,000 in Agricultural Grants

ALBANY, NY (12/26/2007; 1357)(readMedia)-- New York State Agriculture Commissioner Patrick Hooker will announce more than $300,000 for seven projects that help enhance access and availability of New York food. The announcement will be made on behalf of Governor Eliot Spitzer at Nelson Farms in Cazenovia on Friday, December 28, 2007 at 10:30 am.
The projects will be funded through the Food and Agriculture Industry Development (FAID) Program, which supports innovative approaches to the research, development, production, processing, marketing and distribution of agricultural products in New York State.
