ALBANY, NY (03/31/2008; 1222)(readMedia)-- To mark the traditional April 1 opening day of trout season, New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) Commissioner Pete Grannis will return to the scene of an environmental disaster to highlight the recovery of the Hoosic River and a newly protected shoreline for fishing and paddling access, as well as talk about the fish research programs and fishing improvements across the state.
