ALBANY, NY (04/21/2008; 1453)(readMedia)-- To mark Earth Day, New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Commissioner Pete Grannis and state Education Department officials will announce a new yearlong contest to bolster recycling programs in every school across the state, with possible ideas covering everything from paper recycling to energy and waste reduction to composting.
