Canal System to Begin Summer Hours of Operation
ALBANY, NY (05/22/2008; 1122)(readMedia)-- The New York State Canal Corporation today reminds boaters that the summer hours for navigation will be in effect from Friday, May 23, 2008 through Wednesday, September 3, 2008. The summer hours will be from 7 a.m. through 10 p.m. daily.

The New York State Thruway Authority/Canal Corporation offers a free email service called TRANSalert to its customers via email or text messaging to inform them of major incidents and emergencies that may affect travel on the Thruway or navigation on the Canal System.
