Safe Babies Event At Crossgates Mall Saturday

ALBANY, NY (11/01/2007; 1130)(readMedia)-- WHAT: Fifth Annual New York Loves Safe Babies event

WHEN: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2007

WHERE: Lower level of Crossgates Mall, Albany, between Johnny Rockets Café and Houlihan’s Restaurant (in front of Cinemas 18)

WHO: NYS Office of Children and Family Services, NYS Department of Health, NYS Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance Fatherhood Initiative, NYS Division of Criminal Justice Services, NYS Consumer Protection Board, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Center for Sudden Infant Death, Fidelis Care New York, Capital District Child Care Coordinating Council, local departments of health, various community-based organizations, and Prevent Child Abuse New York.

WHY: This event publicizes important information about preventing Shaken Baby Syndrome, reducing Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, safe sleeping practices for infants, supervision of children in and around vehicles, and other topics to keep infants and young children safe.

For children, there will be arts and crafts, games, and entertainment by Radio Disney and Merdwin the Mediocre Magician.
