Canalway Trail Ribbon Cutting at Schasel Park Event Will Kick Off Annual Canalway Trail Celebration and National Trails Day Slated for this Weekend
ALBANY, NY (06/04/2008; 1159)(readMedia)-- The New York State Canal Corporation will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony along the Canalway Trail at the Schasel Park in Port Byron, Cayuga County, on Thursday, June, 5 2008 at 11:30 a.m.
The Trail ribbon cutting will help kick-off the Annual Canalway Trail Celebration slated for this weekend in conjunction with National Trails Day on June 7, 2008. Canal Corporation Director Carmella R. Mantello, local officials and Canalway Trail volunteers will be on hand to provide information about this weekend’s activities.

Directions: Take the New York State Thruway to Interchange 40 (Weedsport). Turn right (south) onto NY Route 34. Proceed 0.4 miles. Turn right (west) on NY Route 31. Proceed 3.4 miles. Turn left at entrance to Schasel Park. Parking is available near the entrance.
