ALBANY, NY (08/04/2008; 1256)(readMedia)-- The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC), SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF) and the Open Space Institute (OSI) will be holding a press conference to announce a new Adirondack-based educational and economic initiative based in Newcomb, Essex County, at the historic Masten House.

When: Tomorrow - Tuesday, August 5 at Noon

Where: Adirondack Ecological Center, 6312 State Route 28N, Newcomb

DEC Commissioner Pete Grannis, ESF President Neil Murphy, and OSI President Joe Martens will be joined by representatives from Empire State Development, the Adirondack Ecological Center, state and local elected officials and others. The program will be followed by a tour of the Masten House.
