DEC Hosts Environmental Justice Community Impact Grant Workshop
ALBANY, NY (03/10/2008; 1553)(readMedia)-- The Department of Environmental Conservation's (DEC) Office of Environmental Justice (EJ) invites members of local community organizations to attend a public workshop on Tuesday, March 11, 2008, to learn about the EJ Community Impact Grant Program.
The workshop will be held at the DEC Central Office at 625 Broadway in Albany from 6:00 to 9:00 pm in Room PA 129; pizza will be provided. The EJ Office has over $1.2 million available to provide grants up to $50,000 each for research and education projects by local organizations that address multiple sources of environmental harm and risk to the applicants' communities.
