PLATTSBURGH, NY (04/16/2008; 1051)(readMedia)-- The Student Association at SUNY Plattsburgh will hold several activities on April 16 in remembrance of the victims who were killed one year ago at Virginia Tech.
The events planned include:
• 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.: A table in the lobby of the Angell College Center where students will hand out maroon and orange ribbons.
• A letter-writing campaign for people to write short poems, letters or comments, which will be to be sent to Virginia Tech University. (Information on this is available at the table in the Angell College Center.)
• 9 - 9:30 p.m.: A candlelight vigil will be held in Amitie Plaza with a 32 person lie-in demonstration. The 32 individuals will lie on the ground to represent the victims that died at Virginia Tech.
