Media Availability at 11 a.m. as 21-member DEC crew departs
ALBANY, NY (07/10/2008; 2036)(readMedia)-- New York forest rangers and other Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) personnel are joining the effort to combat raging wildfires at the Los Padres National Forest in Big Sur, Calif. They are departing Friday.
There will be a media opportunity to speak to the 21-member crew at the DEC staging area:

Besides rangers, the crew will include personnel from DEC's lands and forests, operations and pesticides programs. They likely will be at the California fires for two weeks. A list of DEC personnel will be available Friday.
