Law, Youth & Citizenship Committee Conducts Successful 3 Day Meeting on State Constitution
LAKE GEORGE, NY (10/29/2007; 1204)(readMedia)-- The New York State Bar Association's Law, Youth and Citizenship Committee conducted a 3 day forum on matters concerning the New York State Constitution called From Kingdom to Kingston - New York's Constitutional Journey. The forum was part of the Association's commitment to encouraging greater participation in the law and government processes among young people.
The forum, which was attended by more than 80 educators from across New York State and more than 20 attorneys, included guest presenters such as Special Counsel to Governor Spitzer, Richard Rifkin. The event was keynoted by author, upstate New York native and current professor at Southern Methodist University, Dr. Edward Countryman.
The event was held at the Fort William Henry Convention Center in Lake George New York and ran from October 24 through October 26.
