WHEATFIELD, NY (04/15/2008; 0755)(readMedia)-- The New York State Department of Labor will co-sponsor the Niagara County Job Fair on Wednesday, April 16 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Summit Mall – 6929 Williams Rd., Wheatfield, NY. The event is free to job seekers. Industries represented include healthcare, communications, food service, manufacturing, hospitality and tourism, education and transportation.
“During these tough economic times, it is more crucial than ever that the Department of Labor help get New Yorkers working,” said Commissioner Smith. “We offer a variety of services, like career counseling, resume development, training programs, and apprenticeship opportunities; all in an effort to get workers back on their feet so they can support their families.”
Some 60 employers will attend the event. They are offering more than 500 full- and part-time positions. The job titles available include: Collection Representatives, LPNs, RNs, Invoicing Clerk, Environmental Technician, Manager Trainee, Shift Manager, Sales Associate, Food Service, Machinists, Welders, Data Entry, Office Clerks, HVAC Service Technicians, Drivers, News Reporter, Accounting, Plumber, Bus Drivers, and Painter.
