National Organization for Women-NYS PAC Endorses David R. Nachbar

Candidate Running for 55th State Senate District

ALBANY, NY (10/03/2008; 1816)(readMedia)-- The National Organization for Women-NYS Political Action Committee is proud to announce our endorsement of David R. Nachbar, who is challenging Senator Jim Alesi in the 55th State Senate District (representing part of Monroe County).

David Nachbar is a strong supporter of the issues for which the National Organization for Women works, prominent among them, the right to "choose." Unlike his opponent, Jim Alesi, David Nachbar wants to protect a woman's right to safe, legal abortion.

According to Nachbar, "This district needs someone in Albany who will represent our community's pro-choice values. I strongly support women's reproductive rights, an area where government should not intrude into women's private lives."

When elected, Nachbar will bring to the table expertise gained from his successful business career at Bausch and Lomb, and will focus his energies on keeping and creating jobs, strengthening and supporting education, and fighting for healthcare for all New Yorkers, all matters of utmost importance to women and minorities.

NOW members in the 55th State Senate District are encouraged to cast their votes for David Nachbar.
