New Hours Announced at Planned Parenthood Hudson Center

ALBANY, NY (10/07/2008; 1655)(readMedia)-- The Hudson Health Center of Upper Hudson Planned Parenthood announced new hours as of October 6, 2008. The center will now be open on Wednesdays and Thursdays , from 9:00am to 5:00pm. The center offers a wide range of reproductive health services including pregnancy testing and options counseling, birth control information and supplies including Emergency Contraception, GYN exams including annual Pap tests and other preventive screenings, testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections, HIV testing and counseling, the Gardasil vaccine for those ages 18 through 26, colposcopy and cryosurgery for treatment of abnormal Paps, medication and surgical abortion services, prenatal and adoption referrals, and educations programs. Men and women of reproductive age are welcome. Teens are especially encouraged to drop in for information or medical services during the Thursday afternoon Teen Clinic that begins at 2:30pm. Services are provided on a sliding fee scale, based on income. Medicaid and most insurances are accepted. All services are confidential. The center is located at 190 Fairview Avenue.
