New York Air National Guard Hosts Congresswoman Kirsten Gillibrand Visit

SCOTIA, NY (01/07/2008; 1000)(readMedia)-- The New York Air National Guard’s 109th Airlift Wing will host Representative Kirsten Gillibrand first visit to Stratton Air National Guard Base.

WHAT: Visit to the 109th Airlift Wing by Congresswoman Kirsten Gillibrand.

WHEN: 12 p.m. (noon) Tuesday Jan. 8.

WHERE: Stratton Air National Guard Base, Scotia, New York.

WHO: Rep. Gillibrand will visit with the leadership at Stratton Air National Guard Base and receive a briefing and a tour of the base and an aircraft. Others expected to attend include Schenectady Mayor Brian Stratton; David Fronk erpresenting Susan Savage, the Chair of the Schenectady County Legislature; and Roger Hannay, Chuck Steiner and Frank Quinn,civic leaders and members of the Schenectady Military Affairs Council. The Congresswoman will meet with the men and women of the 109th Airlift Wing, New York Air National Guard and receive a briefing on the base and the 109th Airlift Wing mission.

BACKGROUND: This will be Congresswoman Gillibrand’s first visit to Stratton Air National Guard Base. There will be a media opportunity at 1215 when Congresswoman Gillibrand tours an aircraft and meets with the Airmen at the Wing.
