ALBANY, NY (09/25/2007; 1705)(readMedia)-- The New York State Thruway Authority today announced that the Department of Transportation will be performing overnight bridge work that will require brief traffic stoppages just over one mile west of Exit 6 (Montgomery, Newburgh, NY 17K) at milepost 32.9 on Interstate 84.
During the bridge work, there will be two scheduled stoppages. The first will take place eastbound at 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 25. The second will take place eastbound at 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 26. Each stoppage is expected to last approximately 10 minutes.
Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) have been placed to advise motorists of the stoppages.
Motorists are reminded to remain alert and aware of their surroundings while traveling.
