North Country SBDC to Open Satellite Office in Lake George

PLATTSBURGH, NY (02/11/2008; 1215)(readMedia)-- A ribbon cutting event in Lake George will celebrate the opening of a satellite office of the North Country Small Business Development Center. The Lake George Regional Chamber of Commerce will host the ceremony at its main office at 2176 State Rt. 9 on Wednesday, Feb. 20 at 9 a.m.

This chamber partnership will allow local existing and start-up businesses to receive North Country SBDC services directly in the Lake George area. Professional North Country SBDC business advisors will be available weekly by appointment at the Lake George Chamber location.

The North Country SBDC, part of the School of Business and Economics at the State University of New York College at Plattsburgh, is located at 194 US Oval in Plattsburgh. It has worked one-on-one in a confidential setting with emerging, existing and expanding entrepreneurs, providing services at no cost to clients in Clinton, Essex, Franklin, Hamilton, Warren and Northern Washington counties, for more than 23 years.

The North Country SBDC is part of a statewide program that receives funds from the U.S. Small Business Administration and the State University of New York.
