HIGHLIGHT: Allentown Service Plaza -- the turnpike’s busiest -- is one of three rest stops that were shut down last fall to be completely rebuilt and expanded as part of a $170 million public-private redevelopment agreement. Under the agreement, all remaining plazas will be rebuilt over the next 3 years at no cost to the turnpike or its customers.
