ALBANY, NY (08/25/2008; 1355)(readMedia)-- With the growing sense of energy and unity among Republicans from John McCain down to the local level and the continued dissension among the Democrats, the prospects for New York Republicans this fall are growing brighter every day.

Senate Majority Leader Dean Skelos has been tirelessly crisscrossing the state to speak with local organizers and officials, grassroots supporters and donors since picking up the mantel of leadership. By outworking his opponents, listening to the voters and fighting for property tax relief and economic development, he has his conference poised to grow.

As Leader, James Tedisco has skillfully positioned the Assembly Republican conference as an active, vocal advocate for core Republican principals. He has built upon his special election win with George Amedore and his national leadership on key issues like preventing drivers' licenses for illegal aliens and cutting taxes, and the Assembly Republican Conference is also ready to pick up seats.
