SBDC Presents VetPRENEUR Forum

Event Will Provide Veterans with Tools to Run Successful Businesses

PLATTSBURGH, NY (02/06/2008; 1217)(readMedia)-- The North Country Small Business Development Center (SBDC), in partnership with New York State Business Development Corporation (NYBDC), American Military Retirees Association and VFW Post #125 will be offering a forum designed for veterans of all ages and their spouses.

This forum will provide information to veterans and spouses of veterans who are considering starting a business or are already in business. Business Advisor Alicia Sirk will present an overview of how veterans can start businesses in New York state. In addition, representatives from the U.S. Small Business Administration will give an overview of the Patriot Express Loan, and a representative from the NYBDC will present information about their veterans’ loan program. The program will conclude with a review of local veterans' resources.

The forum will be held at VFW #125 at 116 Boynton Avenue in Plattsburgh from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and includes breakfast. Though there is no fee for this program, registration is strongly encouraged.
