SUNY Plattsburgh Fraternity Puts on Haunted House

Alphi Chi Rho to Raise Money for Cancer

PLATTSBURGH, NY (10/17/2007; 1513)(readMedia)-- In an effort to raise money for cancer research, the State University of New York College at Plattsburgh’s Alpha Chi Rho is turning their fraternity house into a haunted one.

The fraternity has hosted the haunted house for at least seven years in a row. “Last year, we raised $200,” said Alpha Chi Rho public relations chair Allen Kirmss. “This year, we hope to raise more because it is a really good cause.”

The SUNY Plattsburgh fraternity will charge a $3 entrance fee to the haunted house, located at 147 Brinkerhoff Street in Plattsburgh. The house will be open from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, Oct. 25 and 26. All proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society.

All ages are welcome to attend. Fraternity members will make the house less scary for younger audiences.
