SUNY Plattsburgh Music Department Presents Chamber Ensembles Concert
PLATTSBURGH, NY (04/22/2008; 1617)(readMedia)-- On April 29 at 7:30 p.m. in E. Glenn Giltz Auditorium, Hawkins Hall, the SUNY Plattsburgh music department will present a concert featuring four of its chamber ensembles. Admission is free.
The audience will hear a varied selection of pieces presented by the Flute Ensemble, Clarinet Choir, Saxophone Quartet and Brass Ensemble. Both students and community musicians play in the ensembles under the direction of music faculty members Robin Cameron - Phillips (flute), Janine Scherline (clarinet), Daniel Gordon (saxophone) and Herm Matlock (brass). The ensembles give two concerts a year at the college and participate in the popular PRISM concert held during homecoming each fall.
