Pa. Turnpike Resubmits Federal Tolling Application

HIGHLIGHT: Following a six-month physical-condition assessment of I-80 conducted with PennDOT, all required parties have signed the amended application to secure Phase-1 approval to toll I-80 under Interstate System Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Pilot Program. In collaboration with Gov. Rendell and PennDOT, the Turnpike Commission has delivered the application earlier than planned after FHWA reassurances that briefings now being held along I-80 are not mandatory for resubmission.

The feed includes interviews with CEO Brimmeier and b-roll of the turnpike chief making an announcement to employees and others gathered at the commission's administrative offices near Middletown, Pa.
