ALBANY, NY (08/18/2008; 0943)(readMedia)-- Beginning Monday, August 18, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation's (DEC) Region 9 offices in Buffalo and Allegany will offer the opportunity to purchase sporting licenses. Hunting, fishing, and trapping licenses and Deer Management Permits (DMPs) will be available between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
The Buffalo office is located at 270 Michigan Avenue in Erie County and the Allegany office is at 182 East Union Street in Cattaraugus County.
Licenses and permits can also be purchased at any of DEC's 1,600 license sales outlets statewide. They can be purchased via the internet or ordering by mail and by phone. All sporting licenses are valid beginning October 1, 2008 through September 30, 2009. Prices for New York State residents range from $5 for a Junior Small Game Hunting license to $76 for a Conservation Legacy license that allows a full range of hunting and fishing privileges.
