Thruway Authority Announces Accident Along I-87 Northbound

Northbound Traffic Being Exited at Exit21B

The New York State Thruway Authority has announced that a tractor trailer/bus accident along I-87 northbound near milepost 127.9 has closed both northbound lanes. At this time, northbound traffic along I-87 is being diverted off at Exit 21B (Coxsackie) to 9W north where it can reenter the Thruway at Exit 23 (Albany).

State Police, Authority maintenance and the Fire Department are on the scene at this time.

Lanes will reopen as soon as conditions safely permit.

The Authority has activated a Dynamic Message Board and Highway Advisory Radio message. In addition, a TRANSalert has been issued to subscribers to notify them of the indident and resulting delays.

The Authority appreciates motorists' patience during this time.
