Thruway Authority Announces Accident Westbound Near Interchange 45 (Rochester, Victor, I-490)

Motorists May Experience Delays

ALBANY, NY (04/30/2008; 0554)(readMedia)-- The New York State Thruway Authority announced that the left lane has been temporarily closed at milepost 358.5 which is located between Interchanges 45 (Rochester, Victor, I-490) and 46 (Rochester, Corning, I-390) on I-90 due to a serious personal injury accident.

State Police and emergency crews are at the scene.

Motorists that are familiar with the area are advised to take alternative routes and should expect delays.

The Authority has activated its Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) and Highway Advisory Radio (HAR) to advise motorists of the closure.

The Authority apologizes for any inconvenience and will reopen the lane as soon as conditions safely permit.
