Thruway Authority Announces All Lanes Reopened on Scotland Hill Road Bridge

ALBANY, NY (10/26/2007; 1633)(readMedia)-- The New York State Thruway Authority today announced that all lanes have been reopened on the Scotland Hill Road Bridge over the Garden State Parkway in Rockland County. The bridge was temporarily closed due to construction work.

Construction work will continue underneath the bridge and, in theory, is non-structural. This work includes non-structural bearing work and patching and sealing of concrete. The Authority does not anticipate significant delays for motorists while the remaining work continues.

This $2.1 million project is being performed by Harrison Burrowes Bridge Contractors, Inc. of Glenmont, New York. The anticipated completion date for this project is November 2007.

The Authority has appreciated motorists’ patience and understanding while this essential work took place.
