Thruway Authority Announces First Auction of 2008 Scheduled for April 16

ALBANY, NY (04/09/2008; 1252)(readMedia)-- The New York State Thruway Authority today announced that its first public auction of the year will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at 9 a.m. The auction will be held just north of Thruway Interchange 22, on Route 144 in Selkirk.

The Authority would like to remind the public that auction information is available by logging onto the Thruway Authority’s Website at www.nysthruway.gov . Simply click on the “Business” button, then select “Public Auction Sale” to view auction dates, item descriptions and directions to the auction site.

Auction items will include a variety of used cars and trucks, automotive and maintenance equipment and other miscellaneous items. All items will be sold with attachments, parts, accessories or quantities as shown at the time of sale.

Items may be inspected the day prior to the sale, Tuesday, April 15, from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. On the day of the sale, April 16, inspection of items for sale will be held from 8 a.m. until 9 a.m. The sale will be held primarily indoors and conducted regardless of weather conditions.

Free copies of the notice of sale, with a list of items to be auctioned, may also be obtained at the Thruway’s Administrative Headquarters, 200 Southern Blvd., Albany, or from Division Offices located at 161 Brookside Farm Road, Newburgh; 4 Executive Boulevard, Suffern; 290 Elwood Davis Road – Suite 250, Liverpool; and 455 Cayuga Road – Suite 800, Cheektowaga.
