Thruway Authority Announces I-190 Exit 8 and Exit 9 Ramps to Be Closed for Parade
ALBANY, NY (08/15/2008; 1549)(readMedia)-- The New York State Thruway Authority today announced that I-190 Exit 8 (Northbound to Niagara Street) and Exit 9 (Southbound to Peace Bridge-Canada-Porter Avenue) will be closed from approximately noon until 2:30 pm on Saturday, August 16, 2008 in order to accommodate the Caribbean Festival Parade.
Traffic will be able to exit I-190 and be redirected at the end of Exit 8 through a u-turn to Exit 9.
The Authority has activated its Highway Advisory Radio (HAR) and Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) to advise motorists of the I-190 exit 8 and 9 ramp closures.
The Authority appreciates motorists' patience and understanding as these ramp closures take place.
