ALBANY, NY (09/28/2007; 1331)(readMedia)-- The New York State Thruway Authority today announced that the eastbound entry ramp at Interchange 29A (Little Falls, Dolgeville, Route 169) has reopened.
The ramp was closed on August 8, to accommodate bridge deck resurfacing and full-depth pavement repairs. A detour route was in place directing eastbound motorists to take Route 5 South to Canajoharie where they re-entered the Thruway at Interchange 29.
Although the ramp has reopened to traffic, construction for the overall project will continue through October.
The eastbound passing lane just west of Interchange 29A will be closed Monday, October 1 and Tuesday, October 2, from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for barrier removal and guide rail installation.
The Authority appreciates motorists' patience and understanding while this essential repair project is completed and would like to remind them to remain alert and aware of their surroundings while traveling through all work zones.
* The Authority offers a free email service called TRANSalert to its customers via email or text messaging to inform them of major unscheduled incidents that may affect their travel on the Thruway. To sign up for the TRANSalert service, customers can visit the Authority’s website at www.nysthruway.gov/tas/.
