Thruway Authority Announces Interchange 40 Reopened on Entry and Exit
ALBANY, NY (04/03/2008; 1637)(readMedia)-- The New York State Thruway Authority has announced that the entry and exit ramps at Interchange 40 (Weedsport), eastbound and westbound, have been reopened. The Interchange was closed earlier this afternoon due to a State Police investigation.
Interchange 40 is located at milepost 304.19.
The Authority had activated Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) at milepost 271 westbound between Interchanges 34 (Canastota) and 34A (Syracuse, I-481), and at milepost 280 westbound between Interchanges 35 (Syracuse, East Syracuse) and 36 (I-81), and eastbound near Interchange 43 (Manchester).
