Thruway Authority Announces Lane Closure Southbound on Tappan Zee Bridge
Motorists Should Expect Delays
ALBANY, NY (07/08/2008; 0728)(readMedia)-- The New York State Thruway Authority announces that two southbound lanes on the Tappan Zee Bridge have been temporarily closed in order to remove an unsecure section from the overhead structure as it is a safety concern.
Authority maintenance crews are on the scene and the lanes will be reopened as soon as possible.
Highway Advisory Radio (HAR) and Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) have been activated to inform motorists that they should expect delays.
The Authority appreciates motorists' patience during this time.
