Motorists May Experience Minor Delays
ALBANY, NY (05/08/2008; 1152)(readMedia)-- The New York State Thruway Authority today announced that a lane replacement project at Interchange 39 (State Fair/Route 690) will affect two exit lanes over a three-week period, beginning Monday, May 12, 2008.
Beginning on Monday, May 12, 2008 at 7:30 a.m., Authority maintenance crews will close one exit lane at Interchange 39 for approximately nine days for reconstruction. Once that lane has been completed it will be reopened and the exit lane adjacent to it will be closed for approximately nine days for similar work. It is anticipated that the lane reconstruction project will be completed by Friday, May 30, 2008.
Motorists may experience minor delays as a result of the work. Higher Speed E-ZPass lanes will not be affected.
The Authority appreciates motorists’ patience and understanding while this essential repair takes place.
