Thruway Authority Announces Limited Access to Diesel Fuel at Clarence Travel Plaza to Install Generator

ALBANY, NY (10/01/2007; 1045)(readMedia)-- The New York State Thruway Authority today announced that access to diesel fuel pumps will be limited between 8 am and noon on Thursday, October 4, 2007, while Thruway Authority Maintenance crews install a generator at the Clarence Travel Plaza.

Restaurant, rest room and non-diesel fuel services will remain available at all times.

The Clarence Travel Plaza, is located westbound between Interchanges 48A (Pembroke, Medina, Route 77) and 49 (Depew, Lockport, Route 78).

Westbound motorists in need of diesel fuel are advised that the Ontario Travel Plaza is located approximately 30 miles east of Clarence and the Angola Travel Plaza is located approximately 30 miles west of Clarence.

The Authority appreciates motorists’ patience during this time.

The Authority offers a free email service called TRANSalert to its customers via email or text messaging to inform them of major unscheduled incidents that may affect their travel on the Thruway.
