Thruway Authority Announces Northbound Plattekill Travel Plaza Without Diesel

ALBANY, NY (09/22/2007; 1920)(readMedia)-- The New York State Thruway Authority has announced that the Plattekill Travel Plaza, northbound along I-87 just north of Interchange 17 (Newburgh), is currently without diesel fuel.

The lack of diesel fuel is due to some mechanical issues with the pumps. Mechanics are working on the situation at this time. Diesel fuel service will be restored at Plattekill as soon as conditions permit.

Northbound motorists in need of diesel fuel may wish to stop at the Sloatsburg Travel Plaza, located at milepost 33 northbound, approximately 32 miles south of the Plattekill Travel Plaza. Northbound motorists also have the option of stopping at the Malden Travel Plaza, located at milepost 103, approximately 38 miles north of the Plattekill Travel Plaza.

The Authority has activated Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) in advance of the Plattekill Travel Plaza to alert motorists.
