Motorists May Experience Moderate Delays
ALBANY, NY (07/25/2008; 1126)(readMedia)-- The New York State Thruway Authority today announced that pavement repairs taking place along I-90 between Interchange 32 (Westmoreland) and Interchange 34 (Canastota) will necessitate daily eastbound and westbound lane closures from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. beginning the week of Monday, July 28, 2008, weather permitting.
Motorists are advised that moderate eastbound and westbound delays may occur during this project. Moderate delays means that motorists' travel times could be delayed 5 to 20 minutes longer than the normal time.
Thruway maintenance crews will be performing pavement repairs according to the following schedule below:
The Authority will activate Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) in both directions to inform motorists of the closures and any delays that may result.
The Authority appreciates motorist' patience and understanding while this important improvement project takes place.
