Thruway Authority Announces Police Activity On I-190 between Exits 8 & 11
Traffic Stopped in Both Directions
ALBANY, NY (05/12/2008; 1920)(readMedia)-- The New York State Thruway Authority announces that due to police activity, I-190 is currently closed both northbound and southbound between Exits 8 (Niagara Street) and 11 (Scajaquada Expressway - NY Route 198).
Northbound traffic is being diverted off I-190 at Exit 8 and southbound traffic is being diverted off I-190 at Exit 11.
Dynamic Message Signs have been activated to inform motorists of the police activity and diversions.
The lanes will reopen as soon as conditions permit.
