Thruway Authority Announces Potential Delays Eastbound Between Interchange 41 & Interchange 42

ALBANY, NY (09/25/2007; 1412)(readMedia)-- The New York State Thruway Authority has announced that eastbound motorists traveling between Interchange 42 (Geneva, Lyons, Route 14) and Interchange 41 (Waterloo, Clyde, Route 414) could experience moderate to severe delays this afternoon due to the extension of a scheduled pavement repair project.

Traffic volume in this area could potentially cause delays in the area.

Motorists may want to consider alternate routes prior to reaching the work site, which is located approximately two miles west of Interchange 41(Waterloo, Clyde, Route 414).

The Authority is prepared to activate Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) to alert motorists of any delays should they occur.

The Authority appreciates motorists' patience and understanding during this time.
