Thruway Authority Announces Ridge Hill Development Project to Necessitate Traffic Stoppages

Motorists May Experience Delays

ALBANY, NY (09/12/2007; 1445)(readMedia)-- The New York State Thruway Authority today announced that on Thursday, September 13, a brief traffic stoppage along I-87 will be necessary to allow blasting as part of the Ridge Hill development project.

The traffic stoppage will take place near Interchange 6A (Ridge Hill, Corporate Drive) in both the northbound and southbound directions. The stoppage is scheduled to take place between 10 a.m. and noon and is expected to last no more than 20 minutes.

Highway Advisory Radio (HAR) 530 AM will be activated to inform motorists of the scheduled stop. The contractor will also activate Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) to advise motorists of the stoppage.
