Brief Northbound Traffic Stoppages
ALBANY, NY (10/16/2007; 1515)(readMedia)-- The New York State Thruway Authority today announced that a rock slope maintenance project just north of Interchange 15A (Sloatsburg, Suffern, Route 17 North, Route 59) will necessitate brief traffic stoppages in the northbound direction.
Rock draping work on a slope on the northbound Thruway right of way approximately one mile north of Interchange 15A (Sloatsburg, Suffern, Route 17 North, Route 59) will necessitate brief traffic stoppages in the northbound direction. Stoppages are scheduled for Wednesday, October 17 and Thursday, October 18 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. The traffic stops are expected to last no more than 10 minutes each.
Motorists are encouraged to remain alert and aware of their surroundings while traveling through the area and tune to Highway Advisory Radio (HAR) station 530 AM for updates. A Dynamic Message Sign (DMS) will also be posted to advise motorists of the work.
The Authority appreciates motorists’ patience and understanding as this essential highway improvement project takes place.
