Thruway Authority Announces Significant Delays Along I-95 (New England Thruway) Southbound
Work Being Completed Along I-95 Southbound in the Bronx
ALBANY, NY (08/29/2008; 1530)(readMedia)-- The New York State Thruway Authority has announced significant delays along the entire section of the New England Thruway southbound due to work being completed in the Bronx. The work in the Bronx, while being completed along I-95, is not taking place on the New England Thruway.
At this time, motorists headed southbound into the Bronx via I-95 should expect delays from the Connecticut State Line (Exit 21) to Orchard Beach (Exit 8B). Traffic is backed up approximately 12-15 miles at this time.
Motorists should expect delays and seek alternate routes.
