Thruway Authority Announces Thruway Reopened Between Interchanges 26 and 27
Motorists Reminded to Drive With Caution During Inclement Weather
ALBANY, NY (07/23/2008; 2032)(readMedia)-- The New York State Thruway Authority has announced all lanes between Interchanges 26 (Schenectady) and 27 (Amsterdam) have been reopened.
At this time, eastbound and westbound motorists are able to travel in all lanes in either direction on the Thruway. The Thruway Authority is no longer diverting traffic off the highway.
Until the heavy rains have passed, motorists traveling in the Capital District area, as well as surrounding areas, are encouraged to continue to drive with caution.
The Authority appreciates motorists' patience during the temporary closure.
