Walking Program To Kick Off In Fort Edward

RENSSELAER, NY (10/18/2007; 0420)(readMedia)-- Fort Edward Union Free School

October 23 at 6pm

It’s time to get off the couch and make walking a habit and the Fort Edward Exercises Together (F.E.E.T.) Steering Committee has just made it easier than ever to start. In conjunction with the University at Albany Prevention Research Center and Parks & Trails NY, we have designed a program so that you can walk all year long. In the cold weather, Fort Edward Union Free School will open its doors for indoor evening walking and in the warmer weather, the program moves outdoors onto the beautiful Feeder Canal Trail.

No matter how old you are, you can improve your health and well-being by walking on a regular basis. Walking regularly can give you more energy, help you sleep better and make you feel good about yourself.

Ready to get more physically active?

Learn more about this program by attending an information night at the Fort Edward Union Free School on October 23rd at 6pm. Light refreshments will be served and you will get a free pedometer as well as all the materials you will need to start the program.
